Challenge

People who follow specific diets (e.g., keto, vegan, or managing allergies) often struggle with the inconvenience of finding recipes that are both healthy and compatible with their requirements. This leads to wasted time searching across multiple platforms, difficulty in sticking to health goals, and overall frustration with meal preparation.

Objective

To design a simple, dedicated mobile application that enables users to easily find, save, and cook healthy recipes by filtering for specific dietary or allergy needs. The design had to prioritize clear, accessible information and a smooth user flow from searching for a recipe to viewing the final steps.

Results

The final high-fidelity prototype, developed in Figma, was validated through usability studies. The app achieved its goals by prioritizing insights into better filtering and navigation. The project demonstrated a viable concept that promotes healthy eating habits and achieved high user satisfaction scores. Goal Achievement: The project proved that simplicity is more important than design, achieving a minimal aesthetic while maximizing function.
